07 a new me. When she turned sixteen, she had passed every test that Ystride had set her, and even excelled in areas that Ystride had not touched upon with her. As part of graduation award, along with her soul stone, Ystride allowed Asami to undergo a powerful biomancy ritual that would allow her to alter her body, which she had expressed numerous times she was unhappy with.
Her 'graduation' was the rending of bone, flesh, scale, and skin as her tutor walked her through the manipulation of the self. Asami reshaped her own body, making herself a little taller, a little wider, more shapely, carving and reshaping her own face to her liking, in an artistic expression of blissful agony.
The only condition to this 'ceremony' was that if she cried out, it would be halted where it was and her blood ward would be applied, preventing further cosmic alterations until she could break the ward. It took until she was reshaping her horns, the grinding agony reverberating in her skull and deafening her that she finally broke, but she was almost totally remade in her desired image by then. 08 greater strides. Asami returned from summer vacation totally remade and in a new spirit. Unfortunately for her teachers and peers, this was one born of pure ego and the fresh thrill of having survived her graduation even more powerful. While her attendance and attitude were both still problems, her talents had only increased with her newfound confidence. It was around this time that she met Unarchimeg Karasu, a xaela student who had started at the Studium that year to enroll as a weaver. Unarchimeg was being bullied by the same people that had bullied Asami, and something in her just snapped.
Asami walked up and laid the primary architect of both their bullying out with a brutal throat punch, then slammed his face into the wall, before she dragged Unarchimeg away from them, to explain how shitty they were. The two became friends, with Asami giving her the nickname ‘Anarchy’, as her name means ‘disruptor’ in the old Auri tongue. Strangely, Asami was not a bad influence on Anarchy - in fact, more often than not, Anarchy was pushed forward by Asami to showcase her talents in areas where she would have been too nervous to otherwise.
09 travelling eorzea. Asami and Anarchy both graduated from the Studium, and both decided to further their education as post-graduates. Anarchy picked up arcane weaving and the study of astrology, while Asami travelled to Eorzea, perfecting her talents. Asami was abroad in Ishgard, studying the corpses of dragons, when Elidibus found her. 10 ascension. The Shadowhunter had recently destroyed the previous holder of the title of Altima, along with Deudalaphon, and with Emet-Selch recently slain by the Warrior of Light, Elidibus required more hands on deck. He raised Asami to the seat of Altima, unlocking her Echo, and granting her the power of the seat, as well as access to some of Anenke’s memories.Asami was disgusted at what called the ‘sad devotion’ to Zodiark, and rebuffed Elidibus’ demands to help him usher in the Rejoining. When he tried to destroy her, she utilised her flesh magic to seize his stolen body and lock the muscles, effectively rendering him paralysed. She then departed, using her new found ability to traverse the aetherial sea without the need for aetherytes. 11 ascian memoria. Elidibus sent Deudalaphon and Pashtarot to bring her to heel or destroy her, forcing Asami to defend herself against two Ascians at once. Deudalaphon was not difficult, as - like her - he had only just regained his seat, but Pashtarot proved difficult to deal with. Asami eventually had to let him think he’d cornered her and suffered a beating, as she worked her magic on his blood. Once she had, she used his muscles to break every bone in his body, effectively killing the body he was using and forcing him to retreat. She then retreated to Sharlayan, taking refuge in Ystride’s sanctum, and seeking out her step-mothers help. Ystride was fascinated by the change in her step-daughter, and helped her create a powerful blood ward that would obscure her location from the other Ascians and let her hide herself from them.
12 the final days. When Elidibus was destroyed by the Warrior of Light, the Telophori rose up under Fandaniel to reinstigate the Final Days. Fandaniel approached Asami, believing that her being combative to Elidibus and the Overlords made her more like him than them; Asami pointedly explained that Fandaniel disgusted her even more than Elidibus did and warned him to leave her be or she would give him the sweet death he so craved.Fandaniel cleverly left Asami, who had been honing her powers. Like her step-mother, and other members of the Forum, she doubted in the star's ability to survive the Final Days and rather than try to prevent it, she put her efforts into helping Sharlayan prepare for the Exodus. She was glad to be proved wrong, however, 13 current status. Currently, Asami is learning to control her powers and watching for any Ascians who might try to upset the balance. While she is a self-admitted bitch who doesn’t care overly for people, she likes the world as it is, and would rather a zombie with delusions of grandeur didn’t ruin things for her.
